buddi is a GPS based personal alarm.

buddi harnesses the latest in satellite navigation technology to pinpoint a wearer’s location, and a mobile phone network to communicate between the buddi and a fully staffed, 24/7 emergency monitoring centre.

Registered contacts, such as family members, friends or neighbours, are then alerted automatically via landline or mobile phone. Registered emergency contacts are called in priority order on landline or mobile phones, and given the wearer’s exact location. The buddi can register a fall, can send a voice message, can send an alarm in the UK or abroad, and can be used to locate the wearer.

More than 100 local authorities have invested in buddi, and additional services – Safe Zone and Trace – use buddi’s facilities to help monitor people in care.
