MiComMiCommunitymunity is an intergenerational project to share IT skills, run by AgeUK.

Older people who wanted to learn new IT skills were paired with younger mentors who were recruited from schools, employers and apprentice schemes. Older people learned how to book holidays online, Skype with family abroad, find good deals – whatever their particular needs were – while gaining confidence and extending the confidence and skills of the volunteers, young and old.

The 11 month pilot of the project was completed in May 2012. A full evaluation report is available as well as a toolkit for developing new MiCommunity projects.
